He then received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Dental Branch, where he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. “As an orthodontist, I enjoy developing relationships with so many wonderful people in our community. I am also fortunate to have the opportunity and ability to give our patients the perfect smile they always wanted. A great smile can give you the self-confidence to truly change your life. Mary Kate Gavri, DDS
Dr. Mary Kate Gavri is thrilled to be in Houston to begin serving her community and creating beautiful smiles. She received her formal dental training at the Medical University of South Carolina where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. She practiced general dentistry for several years in Charleston, SC before deciding to pursue her passion in orthodontics. She was accepted into the orthodontics program at LSU and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana where she spent two years and received her Master of Science in Dentistry and specialty certification in orthodontics. When you first meet Dr. Gavri, you’ll see why her patients love her. She is humble, compassionate, caring, and dedicated to her craft. She takes great pride in the quality of orthodontic treatment that she provides to her patients and loves to have fun while doing it.
Outside of the office, Dr. Gavri loves to spend time playing tennis, golf, and enjoying the sunshine. She and her husband, Aaron, are huge sports fans and like to cheer on the Virginia Tech Hokies and all Houston sports teams. Aaron, who is also an orthodontist, grew up in the Houston area and they are both happy to be practicing and living close to family once again. They love to try out new restaurants and enjoy traveling when their busy schedules allow.
